Easter

We had a fun 1st Easter with Claire. Well, Chad was working, so I had fun with her! :) I took a bunch of pictures of her in her Easter dress. I just took them in our backyard since it was so nice outside. Chad, Claire and I went to our church's Easter production Friday night since that was the only time Chad could go. I missed a lot of it since I had to go out into the hall with Claire. I should have taken her to her class, but I didn't do it. We are thankful for Jesus and that he died for us to give us life. Happy Easter!

St. Patrick's Day

Chad and I had our very first date on St. Patrick's Day 9 years ago!! I can't believe we have been together for almost a decade. Crazy! I had found a little bib while I was still pregnant that says "Baby's First St. Patrick's Day" and thought it was very fitting.

I Love It!!

I love springtime because there are so many new things around. I love the warmer spring weather (some days are already hot), the green sprouting up everywhere when our trees get new leaves, and the fun atmosphere it creates. I love going for walks and just being outside. It is fun now because Claire is big enough to ride in her stroller without the car seat, so we can finally go for walks! She is growing so much and has such a FUN personality! Chad and I just love watching her smile and realize things she likes. We notice she really likes to sit up and feel like a big girl. She loves her bananas and apples. She loves to talk...sometimes it sounds like "dadada" but I don't think she knows she is getting Daddy's name in there. I have tried to get "mama" out, but it hasn't worked yet.
I am also really excited for summer! I can't wait for school to be out and I can spend my days with Claire. It will be fun to go to the pool, the park, maybe even camping. She already has 2 swimming suits ready to go.
Oh yes, and shopping is a whole new adventure with a little girl. I enjoy finding things for myself, but I think I like it more when we buy things for her! I get excited for her to wear her new outfits!

Six Months and Counting

I know I say it every month, but I can't believe Claire is 6 months old! It has gone by so quickly, but every moment has been such a blast. Chad and I LOVE watching her discover new things in her world. She has grown so much! She is sitting up by herself now, rolling from back to belly and belly to back (when she feels like it and doesn't get her arm caught), eating more foods and drools like crazy, so she MUST be getting a tooth. I have been saying that for a while though, so we'll see! She seems to really like sweet potatoes. We have tried a few different vegetables, but that seems to be her favorite. We go to her 6 month check-up tomorrow, so I am excited to see how much she weighs and how long she is. Here are some pictures of our Little Miss. She is such a bundle of joy and brings a big smile to our faces all the time. People always say how happy she is, and I agree! I love you, Sweet Claire!

Way too fast

Claire is already 5 1/2 months old. I have taken her picture on this mat each month, but it won't be long until she will probably be longer than it is. Plus, now that she loves to roll to her belly, I have to snap the picture very quickly. It is amazing to think how quickly she has changed and how much she has grown. I love seeing her expressions when she figures something out or finds something new. She is very curious about what is going on and likes to find new things.

Texas Snow

Since we hardly get snow here, to get 12 inches was quite a surprise. We actually went in to school on a Thursday, which I had to take Claire that day. It was scary driving with her in the car. My car is so low that it skidded a lot. We made it safely though! We got out of school early due to the weather. That same day, they cancelled it for Friday. Thankfully Chad was off too, so it made for a cozy weekend at home. I wanted to get a picture of Claire in the snow, but I didn't get to. So, here are a few from our house. The one is Chad measuring the 12 inch snow fall! It was really pretty!

A Little Young...

I know Claire is a little young for a cell phone! Don't worry! The other day, Chad was looking through some pictures of her on his phone. He was talking to her as he looked at them and showed her. She was reaching for the phone like she wanted to hold it, so Chad let her hold it. She looks like she knows what to do!
